This poem was written for an acrostic “writing challenge” at the Penticton Writers’ Group (PWAP). I wrote it when I had only 580 words to go to reach the 50 000 words required for the NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writers Month) 2008 challenge. Of course, I figure the story is only about 1/5 finished… maybe it will be trilogy or quintology or something!

NANOWRIMO

Novel writing – who me?
A crazy notion, you see!
Not a fiction gal am I –
Oh but maybe I could try…
Write a story that I know,
Revise, create, and stretch it so
It turns into a novel tale –
Maybe at bestseller scale!
Oh novel writer, me!
